Support & Participation

Who can participate in the support group?
Anyone who has lost a loved one to suicide can participate—family members, friends, colleagues, or anyone affected by suicide loss. There's no time requirement; whether your loss was recent or years ago, you're welcome.
What is the cost?
Our programs are free. We welcome voluntary donations to help support our ministry, but there's no obligation. Financial concerns should never prevent anyone from getting support.
What is the format and schedule?
Our 8-week support group meets online via Zoom every Thursday at 7:45 PM CT. Sessions last approximately 90 minutes. We have ongoing enrollment, so new groups start regularly.
What information do I need to register?
We'll ask for your name, email, a brief description of your situation, and your expectations. This helps us match you with the right group and prepare our facilitators. We'll confirm your group assignment and start date.
What preparation is needed before sessions?
Find a quiet, private space where you can speak freely. You'll need a stable internet connection and headphones are recommended. We encourage using your camera to help build trust, but it's not required.

Privacy & Safety

Is everything confidential?
Yes. All participants agree to keep what's shared in the group confidential. We encourage using real first names to build trust, but you can use a nickname if preferred. What's shared in the group stays in the group.
Can I record or screenshot sessions?
No. To protect everyone's privacy, recording, screenshots, and sharing content outside the group is not allowed. This helps create a safe space where people feel comfortable sharing.

Resources & Follow-up

Are there resources for children and youth?
Yes. We provide age-appropriate materials including communication guides for parents, activity workbooks for children, and resources specifically designed for teenagers. These are available to all participants.
Can I continue after completing the 8-week program?
Absolutely. Many participants join follow-up peer groups or continue with one-on-one support. Talk to your facilitator about ongoing options that fit your needs.
Is in-person support available?
Currently, our programs are primarily online, which allows us to serve people regardless of location. If you need in-person support, let us know and we can help connect you with local resources.
